Priyanka Chopra @priyankachopra makes for a stunning bride in a custom red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery creates this piece of impossible couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece. As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece. Nick Jonas @nickjonas wears a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. Priyanka wore Sabyasachi lehenga on her big day and did you know that it took 110 embroiderers and a massive total of 3720 hours to create her stunning red lehenga?

Sabyasachi Mukherjee elaborated: considering the kind of handiwork that has gone into the making of Priyanka’s bridal lehenga, it is a masterpiece.

The lehenga had multiple layers of threadwork done by hands and paired with hand-embroidered blooms and French knots created out of silk.

It also had boasts of red crystals that added oodles of charm and glam to PeeCee’s bridal look.

To complement his beautiful bride, Nick was also a Sabya groom and he wore silk sherwani, complete with a chikan dupatta, a Chanderi safa by Sabyasachi.

Jewellery:

For her D-day, PeeCee chose custom-made Mughal jewellery by Sabyasachi. PeeCee’s wedding jewellery was made of uncut diamonds, emeralds, and pearls set in 22 Karat gold.

She also wore jewellery by Chopard which consisted of a necklace featuring pear-shaped diamonds set in white gold, earrings, and an oval-shaped diamond drop for the head.

Nick wore a rose-cut kalgi and syndicate diamond necklace by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.
