Last week, I tried cleaning one of my favorite necklaces (a silver necklace) because why not? I was anyway bored at home so I thought why not use this time to polish my jewellery pieces?

So, I took my phone and searched for “How to clean silver jewelry at home”?

I was looking for easy yet effective ways to clean jewelry at home and here’s what I found!

A huge list of jewellery cleaning tips, out of which, few of the tips required 1 or 2 fancy ingredients (which I didn’t have).

Also, there were so many tips, I got confused and decided not to clean my necklace (it was my favorite necklace and I didn’t want to take any chance because I wasn’t sure which tip would work and which won’t).

Why am I telling you all this?

Because “My Chaaah to clean my necklace” is the reason why I’ve written this blog.

After my struggle with Google Baba, I thought to create a blog that talks about all the possible ways to clean your jewellery at home with available products.

So that if a girl/woman decides to clean her favorite jewellery piece at 2 in the morning then she should have the best guide with her.

PS: All these tips are easy to follow and effective

So, what are you waiting for?

Go ahead and give it a read!

All those who want to know how to clean silver jewelry, this hack is for you.

For this hack, you need:

1 Aluminum foil

1 Glass dish/plate

1 tablespoon Baking Soda

1 tablespoon Sea Salt

½ Cup Vinegar

1 Cup boiling Water

Tongs to take out the jewellery from boiling water

Process: Follow these steps to clean your jewellery with Aluminium foil.

  • Boil water in a pan.
  • Cover the glass dish Aluminum foil.
  • Add all the dry ingredients (sea salt and baking soda) into the glass dish and gently pour in the vinegar. You can clean your jewellery without Vinegar also as it is used to speed up the process. If you don’t have Vinegar then you’d have to soak in the jewellery for a longer period of time (be careful while pouring in Vinegar. Keep your face away from the dish and use gloves to perform the entire process).

  • Take out the jewellery pieces with tongs, wash them with water and pat dry.
